Emily Brodsky graduated with a magna cum laude degree in geophysics from Harvard University in 1995. She currently is a graduate student in the Caltech Seismo Lab. Her research has focused on the fluid dynamics of both volcanic and seismological systems. In particular, she has studied the dynamics of explosive eruptions, the interactions of seismic waves with groundwater systems, and mechanisms of triggering and initiating volcanic eruptions.
