Peter Goldreich is currently the Lee DuBridge Professor of Astrophysics and Planetary Physics at Caltech. He recieved his B.S. (in Engineering Physics) and his Ph.D. (in Physics) from Cornell University in 1960 and 1963.

His professional experience includes: Instructor, Cornell University, summers 1961-1963; Postdoctoral Fellow, Cambridge University, 1963-1964; Assistant Professor of Astronomy and Geophysics, University of California at Los Angeles, 1964-1966; Associate Professor, 1966; Associate Professor of Planetary Science and Astronomy, California Institute of Technology, 1966-1969; Professor, 1969; Lee A. DuBridge Professor of Astrophysics and Planetary Physics, 1981.
