Tom Lundgren
Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics

Dr. Lundgren is known for his contibutions to turbulence, vortex dynamics, and free surface fluid dynamics.

He received all of his education at the University of Minnesota; B.Sc. and MS in Aeronautical Engineering in 1954 and 1956, and PhD in Fluid Mechanics in 1960. Except for Sabbaticals at Caltech (1967), NCAR (1975) and NASA-Ames (1981), his entire career has been at the University of Minnesota where he is a professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
