Kyle D. Squires

Kyle Squires is an Associate Professor in the MAE Department at Arizona State University. He received his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University in 1984 and his Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 1985 and 1990, respectively. From 1990-1991, he was a post-doctoral fellow at the NASA/Stanford Center for Turbulence Research. In 1991, Prof. Squires joined the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Vermont as an Assistant Professor, where he was promoted to Associate Professor in 1997. Prof. Squires has been at ASU since the Fall of 1997. Other academic appointments include Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of Industrial Science of Tokyo University and Visiting Research Fellow at the Center for Turbulence Research. Prof. Squires' main research interests include direct and large eddy simulations of turbulent flows, subgrid-scale modeling, and modeling of gas-solid turbulent flows.
