My research interests are mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of combustion and energetic materials.
Accomplishments:
D. S. Stewart proposed the center concept and topic for the UIUC DOE/ ASCI ASAP Center and became one of the 6 Principal Investigators for the UIUC Center for Simulation of Advanced Rockets along with R. Dodds, M. Heath, H. Krier, M. Norman, D. Reed. Prof Stewart led the CSAR code developement effort for the first year of the UIUC effort.
