Raymond Shaw is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Michigan Tech. He received his Ph.D. from Penn State University in 1998 and from 1998 to 1999 was a postdoctoral fellow in the Advanced Study Program at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Professor Shaw's research involves the physics of atmospheric clouds, particle-turbulence interactions, and nucleation, with particular interest in experimental work. His dissertation research was recognized with the American Meteorological Society's Robert Leviton Award, and more recently he is a recipient of a NSF Career Award and a NASA NIP Award.
