Sarah Gille

Sarah Gille has been at UCSD as an assistant professor since 2000; she holds a joint appointment at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She received an undergraduate degree in physics from Yale, and earned a Ph.D. in physical oceanography from the MIT-Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution joint program. Prior to joining the UCSD faculty, she held postdoctoral positions at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and at the University of East Anglia and was an assistant professor at the University of California Irvine.
