Originally from Vermont, Chris Bond is presently a Graduate Research Assistant at Caltech, performing primarily experimental work on gas-phase turbulent mixing in subsonic and supersonic, chemically-reacting shear layers. He received his B.Sc. in 1989, in Engineering and Applied Science, and his M.Sc. in 1990 in Aeronautics from Caltech. As part of his Ph.D. research, he has contributed to the design and implementation of the GALCIT Supersonic Shear Layer Combustion facility. He expects to receive his Ph.D. in Aeronautics from Caltech in 1998.
