Lun-Shin Yao received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1974. He subsequently worked for General Electric Co., the Rand Corporation, and the University of Illinois. Currently, he is a professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Arizona State University.
